Re: Sua Cravens

Mooby I fully agree that we should not jump to conclusions on the very young group. I think Fuller in particular has a skill set to be very valuable for us this year, let alone over the next three.

But if you're doing your research on the backgrounds of players, I don't know how you don't come up with a whiff of something sour on Cravens.

Don't get me wrong, I acknowledge in my OP that it's not right to crap on everything McC did. But a high second rounder is a big miss.

At the time, we sorely needed an expert talent scout and he was a good hire. I wouldn't undo it. I'm just recognizing that his performance - a mix of good and bad - did not justify the pedestal I put him on.

I don't know how he missed that Cravens walked out for 3 days while injured at USC either, either he knew and drafted him or he didn't know. Either way looks bad regardless. But I still trust him as a talent evaluator. As far as available talent evaluators go, he would still be near the top of my list. I just think people that disliked him for a while are using this as an excuse to rip on McC, when the focus should be on Cravens' issues, and what we can do to absorb this blow.

Totally agree with you.
