On any Sunday in December, Kirk Cousins had more talent in his left testicle than Jeff George had in his entire career! Jeff George not only couldn't carry Kirk's jockstrap, he deeply envied Kirk's jockstrap.

No one had a head on their shoulders like Ole Gus! I fear no wall! HOFer in my book.

If only Kirk had been here to step in back then. Championships baby.

Multiple. Championships.

In hindsight - Did he go diva? Sure. Was he a solid QB? Yup. Did BA f*** by not locking him up long term two years ago? Yup. Did that screw-up cost us a good young player in Fuller? Yup. Is Alex Smith a better QB? IMHO, Yup.

I am just glad the drama is over and we can get move forward. Cousins is gone and there is lots of blame to go around.

Right now, the Skins are making good moves (and non-moves) in the off-season and have a QB who wants to be here and who fits the scheme in place.

Just. Move. On.
I agree with everything except the tidbit about Alex being better. Less mistakes? Definitely. Less total td's? Also yeah, unless you think he's going to keep improving over last year as he advances in his 30's. I don't expect Smith to take us deep in the playoffs, I'm just hoping he's a solid bridge qb until we get our next young developer.

I would put Campbell George and Cousins on the same footing. They got fans excited about not winning.

Barring injury QBs should be able to play at a high level into late 30s. Especially smart QBs.

George was one of the most physically gifted throwers in NFL history. Put his arm talent up against anyone who's ever played the position. His release was every bit as good as Marino's, if not better. Where George failed miserably was from the neck up.

It is not just Cousins they also flew out to get Richardson and are asking guys to restructure deals so they can sign more big names.

Hey if you could buy championships the Skins would have more than 3.

Re: Thank You Kirk Cousins Thread

You can buy one if you know what you’re doing, look at Philly.

You would be wrong. Epically. Kirk had worse teams than either George or Campbell and had more success. Had the team committed to him we would be counting the championships.

You're pointless ravings are pointless.

George's supposed talent was all lies made up by the press. His "arm talent" was that of a goony bird on expired steroids. Cousins can throw the ball through a brick wall.

Cousins arm > magnitudes better > George's arm. MAGNITUDES!

Get a clue, you hater.

I qualified it "IMHO." Some may agree. Some may disagree. Comparable QB's in my mind. One older and cheaper. One younger and wanted out.

Moving on.
