Cap? What cap?! This front office cares about the cap like Andrew Jackson cared about the Native Americans.

If there's an overpriced, on-the-downside-of-his-career free agent out there, by God, this front office will find him.

Still, anything's an upgrade over those two putz-bags Renaldo Wynn and Philip Daniels -- who finally, at the half-way point in the season got his first sack, but only because the offensive tackle didn’t realize McNabb was going for a pass when they thought he was going to spike it. I mean really, is that not pathetic? That our starting defensive ends can only get to the quarterback if their opponent stands there motionless?

8 games – 1 sack from our two starting defensive ends.

Sad.

Re: trading p ramsey

The problem is that no pass rushing DE will want to come here and play square-shouldered Greg Blache conservative run stopping football. Ramsey will not be here next year and I would LOVE to see Abraham here, but isn't his contract up at the end of the season?

Re: trading p ramsey

i don't know but we are in desperate need of a pass rushing defensive end. our d-line is sad right now. i think that is one of the key things we need to focus on this year in the draft or in free agency. At this point, i'd be willing to take Abraham, or anyone with good pass rushing skills. What about Kyle Vanden Bosch?

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Nic Clemons get some more playing time. I think he could be a diamond in the rough

KVB is a free agent, so it'd just be about the money with him...

Re: trading p ramsey

I thought Ramsey's contract is up after this year. Why would any team trade for him when he will be a free agent at the end of the season.

I think he's under contract through the '06 season. If so, a team desperate enough, like the Jets or Ravens might be willing to take part in some sort of trade.

Of course, he had more value before this season started. If Gibbs truly followed his gut and knew in his heart that Brunell was really his quarterback, and he just didn't have faith in Ramsey, Gibbs should have tried for a trade at the end of last season.

Oh well.

Re: Trading Patrick Ramsey

I can't really say I believe this at all, because for one thing, Joe Gibbs is not going to say a word about dealing any player away during the season.

However, I wouldn't be disappointed at all by this trade if it actually happened!

What "overpriced on-the-downside-of-his-career free agent" have we brought in lately??

Re: Trading Patrick Ramsey

After reading some of the posts, it occurred to me, PR's worth is completely relative to the need of the team on the other end of the trade. I realize that this is not some kind of revelation. However, because we believe he may be worth a third round pick. naturally he could go much higher depending on his demand. In PR's case his upside can be tremendous. To date, he has not been abkle to achieve it. That doesn't mean he won't. I am sure teams can see that. If your not going to be able to draft USC's golden boy, it may be worth much more to you. Possibly the Jets, Baltimore, etc
