It had shit to do with Alex Smith not turning the ball over. Lol. You can’t turn the ball over when you play afraid and miss everyone by a country mile when you wind up and launch the ball over 9 yards. Shit I don’t turn the ball over either probably because I take as many shots downfield as he does every Sunday.
Quarterback is a big fat problem for us.
He's horrible on the deep ball, that is for sure but he did make an awesome throw in the RZ, which he is very good down there

He does turn it over but he also makes amazing plays downfield and he has made Eric Ebron (who many wrote off as a bust) look like a top 10 TE

Yes on that drive he threw two really nice tight passes. Not going to say he is very good down there based off one drive. I think SF mentioned that we get a few guys back this week including Crowder n CT. TW will be back fairly soon too. We will see. I am extremely cautiously optimistic right now. Our schedule is not easy. Other than the Gints which is still a division rival we really have some tough games. Health, and Coaching (oh boy) are going to be the key down the stretch. Texans r next on the docket gonna be a tough one.

While we are on this topic. Besides TY Hilton (before Ebron emerged) who are Luck's receivers? Luck has made Ebron into what he was supposed to be as a 1st round pick and his other no name receivers produce. I guarantee you our receivers (who people under appreciate) go play for someone like Luck they would be lighting it up.

He's got 8 Tds to 0 Ints in the RZ. That is very good. Not amazing but he's not that kind of QB.

Luck is a top 10 QB tho, those guys make others better. Alex is around 15-20 , he needs the guys around him to be very good (last yr) to put up great numbers.

My point is, our receivers are not the problem despite what many here say. I have a feeling Quinn is going to surprise, I'm really intrigued by him. I would also like to see AP, Bibbs and CT with a 123 punch on the running game.

That is the game I'm the least confident we can win. Not saying others are gimmee. But I'm really not expecting to beat the Texans coming off a bye week...

Heck, what am I talking about? Next week? F' me! We just won! First in the division, HTTR!

Re: Bucs Postgame

Houston will be a good close game, Houston isn't as good as TB, or even INDY on Offense. I love Watson though, he's a tough kid and a good QB. Their OL is not very good so we should get pressure.

If Fitzpatrick scrambled like Tarkenton, what do you think Watson can do? 2 legit receivers in Hopkins and Thomas. Remember the Falcons patched line? Redskins need to dominate on D to win this game, after to iffy performances on D they are due to play better.

Watson moves a little but he's also injury prone so they limit his mobility.
Have we given up a 100 yards to a RB yet this yr? If not that is damn impressive, I can't remember that last time we did that thru 9 games.

We would have under 200 yards of offense and lose. Also the Bears are scoring points w/ Tribisky at QB. He had 6 td passes against the Bucs defense. So far bringing in Nagy looks like a great hire.

Overlooked qb mvp candidate? Phillip Rivers says hold my beer.

Todd Gurley should win it...he’s amazing....but this year, everything is lining up for drew Brees
