Re: smoot injured

I think Smoot and Pierce were worth keeping for our asking price for both.
They were both competitive with Minn and Giants respectively but both included a slightly higher signing bonus. I don't blame either for leaving, but I don't think they realized the magic of Redskins football with Gibbs. Not that its all Gibbs, but who woulda thunk that Brunell would turn out to be worth his paycheck this season? Not me! And I supported Gibbs in his Brunell for Ramsey switch. Our team would be better had we got to keep Smoot and Pierce, but that was a time when TO's whims mattered. Quickly the NFL organizations are realizing that big money doesn't often end up in big dividends. Why does everyone hate the PATS? Cause they're a slightly above average team that consistantly gets it done. Good riddance Smoot and Pierce, talk your 'I wanna be a Skin for life' crap cash in and watch us mature and improve with a solid 'team' outlook. Minn players might wanna take out another sex boat and Gmen will implode before the season is over. I guarantee a win against them at FED EX!!!
