I didn't even realize that was Gettlemen's reasoning behind the draft pick? Picking out of fear another team was going to make that pick. Whatev's.... I think we got the QB with the higher ceiling.

everyone agrees Haskins' ceiling is higher. But his floor is also lower. He's boom or bust. Daniel Jones has a lower ceiling, but his floor is still high-end backup / low-end starter.

I think the good thing is, we don't necessarily need to start Haskins this year. In fact, I believe if the 'skins are even decent with Keenum starting, then he might sit next year as well (although unlikely.) Maybe work him in for a play here and there, but as long as Snyder is willing to give Gruden a longer leash, we don't have to rush him into anything - which will give him every chance to succeed.

Then again, Gruden might be announcing he's the starting QB by training camp.
