Re: Giants Pregame Thread
A loss would get us closer to a BlueChip player that isn't available later in the first round.
This is the deference between Khalil Mack and Ryan Kerrigan or Julio Jones and Josh Doctson. It's Young/Jeudy or bust. |

Re: Giants Pregame Thread
Plenty of blue chip players are found outside of the 1st round. No one has been better at wr than Michael Thomas and he is a 2nd round wr.

Top 5 pick should get you an All-Pro position player or franchise QB. Michael Thomas Draft(2016) 1: Goff 2: Wentz 3: Bosa (DROY) 4: Ewok looking punk in Dallas 5: Ramsey Bosa, Elliot, and Ramsey are all by far better than the next DE, RB, and CB drafted. Excluding QBs, there are 3 can't miss blue chip players in the next draft: Young - OLB/DE Jeudy - WR Okudah - CB These 3 guys will probably be better than anyone else drafted behind them. This is an opportunity to get an elite can't miss player, they need to take advantage of it. Also, being in position to draft one of these players gives us significantly more trade value. We might get lucky and have a team mortgage the future for one of these guys. No one does that for 2nd round picks. Chase Young might be worth 2 #1 picks. We need to be in position to draft him even if we fuck it up and don't draft him. |

Always been a fan of Ryan, happy he’s starting to blossom.

The position that we may need the most is TE. Look at the best guys playing that position, Ertz, Kelce, Kittle, none drafted in the first round. Look at the Seahawks? They haven't picked in the top 5 of the draft in years. They've turned their entire SB caliber roster over and are still a SB contender. |

Re: Giants Pregame Thread
McLaurin looks like he is on the way to being a top notch WR and he was a 3rd rounder and we all know where Tom Brady was drafted.

This is why it is so important to get a GM and coach that see things the same way. |

Re: Giants Pregame Thread
This and this only. If we end up getting Young and he becomes Khalil Mack like, no one...NO ONE will be going, yeah he's great and all...but I still wish we'd have beaten the Giants in week 16 back in 2019!! However...we are the Redskins, so even we do get him, he'll probably be the next Preston Smith here...or often injured.
