Darren Sproles to retire, he was on I.R. He is 36 years old. Are running backs starting to the last longer on average than they used to or is it my imagination?
AP is 34, Frank Gore is 36, I used to seem anyone making it past 30 was rare, this year we had two over 35 and one pushing 35.

Quarterbacks lasting longer I believe has a lot to do with the fact you can't sneeze on them without drawing a flag, but running backs take pretty much the same beating they always did.

Yeah that's awful. I was born in 1990 and even I grew up in a world where you had a problem with someone you exchanged a couple of punches and that was it. Nowadays it feels even your regular Joe is not unlikely to have a knife, expandable baton or a knuckle in his jacket...
