Is it? What's the measuring stick, Super Bowl titles? Because that's McCarthy 1, Rivera 0 (as a HC, not counting player).
I like our decision to go with Rivera too but are we losing sight of what the ultimate goal is here? It's to win titles.

His winning percentage is.618 not too shabby. He also helped reinvigorate Farves career. Farve had a ten year gap in making it to the conference championships between 1997 and 2007 despite some great teams and a mediocre NFC during that time. I do think that you are right Dak is either going to sink or swim and if he sinks we will see how much control he has if he is allowed to move on to his QB.

McCarthy and Dak should be very interesting considering what McCarthy's worked with. This deal came together quickly and wasn't a prolonged scenario as Rivera to us.
