I agree, it's time to cut Robert Royal. He can't catch or block, he's pretty much useless.

Not to totally disagree with the train of this thread, but Robert Royal was not drafted as a pass catching tight end, he was drafted to be a special teamer and a blocking end (yes, those actually exist - ever hear of Rick Walker?). Injuries and other players not being up to par with the offense (Johnson, Kozlowski) have forced the coaches to use him in areas where he is not well suited, ie. pass catching. Yesterday was not the first game where he dropped multiple passes either. He is a solid, if unspectacular blocker, which is why he is still on the team.
I would cut him though, I'm sure thay can find someone to block as well, if not better.

This doesn't sound like a blocking TE to me:

College:
At LSU, he finished his career with 59 receptions for 707 yards (12.0 avg) and seven touchdowns while starting 24 of 42 games.

His reception and yardage totals rank third in school history among tight ends while his seven scores rank second.

2001 Season: As a big, athletic tight end, Royal was often used by LSU to stretch the defense. He is a solid route runner and is considered a very effective pass catcher with an impressive burst heading upfield.

Besides, does anyone really think Spurrier was drafting a TE with blocking in mind? LOL Please.
