Reiff is 31 and should immediately quiet concerns about LT. I imagine the Eagles would be the first team calling, wouldnt be surprised if the dont offer something like a conditional 5th for Reiff. I think our O line is our weakest unit and may severely handicap play calling and Haskins development.

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
Didn't think of the eagles, they tend to be agressive when trading picks so they would be the most obvious destination,

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
According to @PFF_Vikings Riley stacks up like this:
Among 89 OTs Riley Reiff ranks 54th in sacks allowed with 5 39th in pressures allowed with 25 33rd in pass block grade with 73.2 So a guy that grades in the bottom of the top 1/3 essentially is going to be a huge upgrade for us, given what we currently have to deal with, even if he’s not close to being on level with the likes of what we used to have with Silverback.

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
Maybe it's just me but I totally disagree with the decision not to play any preseason games this year. Expecting them to step up on the field in week 1 and be fully up to speed is asinine. A trial game for staff to adjust would be helpful too.

After the past few seasons of watching injuries decimate our O line and then in turn decimate our play calling and execution .. I think I have some form of O line ptsd.

I would be surprised if the offense isn't better than last year. Not great but serviceable. I think people will be surprised somewhat. Worst thing about not having a great oline is not being able to use more deep, slow developing plays so Haskins can flash his cannon. I think many are underestimating Haskins development/talent/hard work from last year and some of the guys we brought in. Gibson, McKissic, Thomas and Love can make this offense better. NFL is about making plays and that's what these guys do. |

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
Feels like nearly every year we fret about the OL in the preseason and things mostly turn out fine with that unit. Probably more than any other spot on the field you can mask weakness with smart schemes and coaching.

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
I'm right there with you. I wanted AT LEAST one preseason game or some sort of scrimmage with a team prior to Week 1.

I imagine the soft tissue injuries will be higher than usual.

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
Totally agree. Just crazy that the 1st game is a huge division opener. Nothing to really go by with prior real action. It would be so awesome to beat Philly game 1. Think both teams are going to be hyped.

Re: WFT 2020 Training Camp
After six seasons with Jay I would think you would be used to week 1 being a preseason game.
