Re: How Many Games Should We Test Haskins?

Wherever we are in the draft, the BIGGEST difference over the past 20 years is that SNYDER won’t be making the draft pick, or influencing that decision.

Rivera’s demoting Haskin’s to the #3 QB was PARTIALLY a message DIRECT to Snyder. I played your guy, and he’s not worthy. After 20 years, Snyder is out of the loop regarding personnel decisions. Rivera’s OTHER message was to the players: just because you’re the owner’s pet, you still have to prepare and perform.

Haskin’s is ANOTHER Snyder DISASTER. One in a very, very long line of very poor personnel decisions made by Snyder and his lackey GM’s, that have handicapped this team like a massive boat anchor on a tiny sailboat. No one has been able to win with that handicap. Not Gibbs, not Shanahan, not Rivera, not any of the offensive geniuses that have migrated to victories on other teams. I’m sure McVay and KOC felt some small satisfaction from putting it to Snyder one more time.

Only by cutting the Snyder tie can this team move forward. Rivera knows that he can’t hope to win with Snyder’s influence, in any way. Snyder knows that if he has ANY chance of surviving in the NFL past this season, it is with the knowledge that Rivera is remaking this franchise in his clean and hard-working image. Snyder knows that if he makes ANY attempt to put his fingers back into the management of the team, Rivera has only to drop one small note to the press and he will be vilified all over again.

It will take two years to clean out the stench of Snyder and Allen’s past personnel decisions. But it is worth the price, because it was impossible to win with Snyder’s horrible personnel decisions. I hope Snyder is forced to sell the team. But he is out of any influence as long as Rivera is HC. It can ONLY get better!!

Will be easier if Snyder is forced to sell the team after the end of the season. I don't think that the NFL is done investigating him

Exactly right. Anything the NFL digs up now is NEW information and will add to the bad news the Post already has written about. The best thing the NFL did was to tell Snyder he couldn’t sue any former or current employees who have come forward before or now. Snyder uses his huge pockets and army of lawyers to try to intimidate anyone who doesn’t keep quiet about all the nefarious and disgusting activities since Snyder bought this team.

I think the NFL will keep quiet about most of the new and detrimental dirt dug up on Snyder’s franchise. Ultimately it will be up to the other owners to decide if Snyder must sell. Snyder has continually brought this team to new lows both on and off the field, but owners like Jerry Jones are certainly HAPPY to let him permanently occupy the cellar of the NFC East.

Agreed, we need to give Rivera the time he needs to drain this swamp.
