Mayhew as GM and Hurney in front office role. Loved MM as a player, but as a GM.... I do hope they retain Smith somehow.

Per source: Martin mayhew will be the new GM in Washington. ...not sure yet about Marty Hurney or his potential role but Mayhew will be the GM.

Interesting. Who said earlier that Hurney doesn't want the GM responsibilities? Sounds like Rivera just wanted Hurney on board in any type of capacity he was willing to offer.

Beat me to it. Things are getting interesting for sure. Was there ever a press release from the team stating Hurney was the GM? Or was it all media “sources”?
