Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
It usually takes about a decade to approve a vaccine or new drug. This has actually been very fast. Which is why a lot of people think too fast and not safe.

Agree, there's only one side making this political. It's the side that's trying to convince themselves there's actually a good reason to not get vaccinated. aka, the dumbs

What's interesting is the rejection of the vaccine doesn't divide along party lines. It divides along educated vs uneducated lines. North Philadelphia's poorest zip codes, where I work, are 35% vaccinated. Arkansas, 35% vaccinated. One votes entirely Democrat, the other votes entirely Republican. But what they have in common? Low levels of education, and inability to accept empirical information when presented, either due to lack of adequate intelligence to decipher its meaning, or due to willful ignorance.

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
I learned today there are at least 3 covid lists.
1 - Unvaccinated, test negative but came in close contact. 5 days away if you dont test positive. That is Payne. 2 - Unvaccinated and test positive. 10 days away if you test positive for covid. Contact tracing begins. 3 - Vaccinated and test positive. Stay away while contact tracing is done. Must have negative test 24 hours apart then can rejopin team. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...inated-players https://www.washingtonpost.com/sport...gton-football/ https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-covid-1...cancelled-game I am guessing vaccinated players can be in close contact with someone who tests positive and not be put on a list as long as they test negative. |

Re: Coronavirus (sports edition) thread
I won't go into the whole back and forth with you Schneed, not because we couldn't but because it is as fruitless as every debate in the debating with your enemy forum. Don't really care much if I've "lost all credibility" either because all those points you raised, and each one is valid on its face, just muddy the factual waters in relationship to the NFL players and their Vax status relative to the course of this virus.
The bottomline is the nfl is a workplace and commercial enterprise. They have set up specific rules that allow for personal choice regardless if they are "dumbs" to you, punch, or me. The players through their union agreed to these rules, and players are abiding by them whether they Vax or not. That is the point of this sports thread. Any other stuff can go in the parking lot forum or debating with the enemy forum. Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk |

Teams with a higher percentage of unvaccinated players have a higher chance of forfeiting games. Nobody's going to argue with that unless they just don't understand anything about viruses or vaccines. Bully for us. Best team we've had in years, it would be truly Redskinesque to finish 9-8 with two forfeits.
