I'm trying to make acquaintances with the fellows" - not accurate to Cred but that picture is hilarious. I imagine Cred as middle aged or slightly older, exasperated that the party he has loved his entire life has been reeled in by a clown but he has no choice but to follow because the clown's goals semi-align with his own.
