Came here to lament this.

Should have signed Terry to a long term prior to this madness (and I assume they tried). Maybe the Kirk deal is 4 yrs 72M on paper but really a 2 yr deal with like 30M guaranteed over first 2 years.

Seems the Jag owner figured out its really hard to win on the field but, season tickets and sponsors are sold in the off season and you can win the off season.

Sell "hope" every offseason.

Glad you said this - I was about to start wtf'ing at the lack of an extension before FA. That Kirk deal only drove Terry's price up.
