Re: SCHEDULE RELEASE 2022
There’s a BYOB tour by trolley of the historical sites. The hosts are comedians. Have drinks, enjoy the history, laugh plenty, and when you’re done you’ll be near about 10 of the best cheesesteak spots in the city. I recommend that to just about every friend I know who comes through.

Looks like if I go, it would be by train. Only 4 hours longer, give or take. 21 hours of driving is too much for what would be at most a 4 day trip. Kind of forget trains are still a thing sometimes.

Re: SCHEDULE RELEASE 2022
I love Philly, it’s extremely sad to see what’s happened to it. The people in charged have failed the city.
They should napalm Kensington avenue.

Re: SCHEDULE RELEASE 2022
Gun violence is nuts around here right now. But as you probably know it's almost always people who know each other and have an axe to grind. Neighborhood beefs, gang stuff, etc.
That is to say visitors headed to restaurants and historical areas have nothing to worry about. This map shows where all the shootings are, they're clustered in North Philadelphia around my hospital, and in West Philadelphia. Those two areas are heavily residential and very poor, the historical stuff is down in the center and closer to the river. Hardly any shootings there, and when they've happened they've been after dark. For those of us who live or work in any city, you know violence is very much a neighborhood to neighborhood thing, and even block to block. It's pretty easy to know where you can go and where you can't. I'd take my kids to the historical stuff in the middle of a Saturday afternoon and never think twice. They're just as safe there as they would be in my suburban neighborhood playing in the local park. https://controller.phila.gov/philade...un-violence/#/
