Yep. They play golf regularly.

And Marty still maintains that he left the Skins on good terms with Snyder, it was just a matter of differing opinions about the front office structure. He's probably still pulling for us.

Actually, Marty has spoken fondly of D.C. and Gibbs several times. He's just said he was given more time in D.C. to do something because he thought he was making headway before he left.

Of course he's on good terms with Snyder, I'd be on good terms with anyone who paid me $15 million to NOT coach his team anymore.

Re: Schottenheimer

maybe if the San Diego doesnt' make the playoffs he could be out, and come back to Washington in some capacity. If Joe leaves and GW has left he would coach again. Who else would come here.

If not GW, it will be Russ Grimm if he doesn't have a job already.

After this year, he will stay one more year. I seriously doubt he will stay anylonger than that. Especially if we go deep into the playoffs, or make a super bowl showing. If the organization want GW to take over there will have to be some sort of agreement about the length of time Joe is staying. And I dont think GW will wait longer than another year. If he even waits that long.

Marty was let go for 1 reason and 1 reason only, the OBC decided to leave the U of Fla and DS wanted him more than any other coach on the planet.
