Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
1. Jordan Love
2. Will Levis 3. Sam Howell These are the 3 QB's I'd take to start 2023 with. I don't want Carr , Mayfield , StaFFORD ETC.

Will Levis would be a massive mistake. His first year at UK, he made his name throwing WR screen passes to Wandale Robinson, who routinely made huge gains. This year, without Wandale, he was average ... at best. Agree with you on Jordan Love, Sam Howell ... and not wanting anything to do with Carr, Mayfield, Stafford, etc. |

Levis also threw the ball 70 times less this year than last. His average per pass was higher this year (8.5) than last (8.0).

Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
I agree. He's like Wentz in that he looks like a prototypical QB, and makes some plays that look great, but the non-great plays are no good.
If Howell didn't go back to school for 1 more year, he would have went in the 1st round EASILY. And his numbers from that last year were still good, even with losing guys. Howell will have a better pro career than Levis imo.

If we draft Levis -- which would be fitting for this front office -- I'll find better ways to waste my Sunday afternoons. As if this franchise hasn't already given me ample reasons to do this. Levis is a much lesser version of Zach Wilson. Who was also hyped beyond belief coming off the covid year, where BYU had to put together a schedule of randoms, which he predictably dominated. I hope Howell is the answer. It'd be great if he was. The rookie salary would be possible to build around. And we have big needs, plus Payne to figure out. None of this really matters with Danny boy still owning things. So I just wasted 5 minutes typing all this out. ha. . |
