Re: Commanders 2023 Off-Season Thread
He is just as important, when he was out our D was out of sync. Just ask Keim and see what answer you get. Curl did more for the D than you think.

Oh come on. Nobody is saying Curl isn’t valuable but he isn’t Payne valuable. If you had to choose one you are choosing Payne 8 days a week. I hope we keep them both |

And it's a possibility if we let Howell cook. I know we have 1 more year with Curl, so it's a bit staggered, but we can't let Payne and Curl leave. After Allen they are our next 2 best guys on defense. Can't just draft replacements as a sure fire system.

Yeah, but if we dont extend Curl now and he balls out it is gonna cost us more next year to keep him. Hopefully he is more reasonable than his father at the negotiating table. |

It takes 2 to tango, so hopefully we offer a really legitimate contact. Then let Curl and his team decide if they're flexible or unreasonable.

I know we drafted him and therefore took the risk, but we also got a really good player for practically free my NFL standards. If you think of it like a 9 year contract for 70 million it sounds pretty good lol. I just don't think we're in a position to let good young players leave. But you can't keep everyone either. If we can keep Payne or Curl I'll be happy. If we lose both in back to back years I'll be a sad panda.
