Re: Trade deadline approaching...

There is money to sign both Young and Sweat next year. Look at how many big contracts the 49ers have. They’ll be in cap hell next year even though they have $40 mil in cap space. Next year we move on from Thomas, Leno, Samuel, Wylie, maybe Fuller. As for trade maybe JSW or Toohill for a T.

Art Monk- Art was like an OL playing WR, doing the dirty work and not getting the glory.

Darrell Green- Best DB ever.

I would agree with this except Samuel. He's been more than solid for us.

I like him, but I like Sweat and Young more and if he’s willing to take a friendly contract, then bring him back or draft another WR to replace him.

I wouldn't let Samuel walk if the numbers stack up. He's a known quantity and thus far better than Dotson (who I think will come good). That's why I suggest trying to get some value for Brown, who's been a non-factor thus far. We can pick up a #4/5 WR almost anywhere, but we either need OL or LB starters now or a stack of picks to restock the roster in the offseason.

I am not sure what value we could get for Brown I really don't see draft picks being traded and nothing above a practice squad player

They have $40M in cap space?! They're going to have to save a lot of that to pay Purdy.
