Exactly. It has been obvious for weeks (years imo) that this staff was a detriment. At this point , now or in January is the exact same thing. But like I said. One step gone and many more to go so it is still progress. Timing is just meaningless.

You need to think of it as Christmas as a child. Every gift has a purpose. You start with a big one (new owner), then as other people open gifts you get a small one (extra draft picks), just when the agony is getting to much as there is a lull in action you get another small one (firing of the inept DC). Eventually you will get the thing you wanted for Christmas a rebuild.
