Bears doesn’t need that much rebuilding.

I am guessing it has to do with Caleb being on rookie contract still vs having to draft a qb with the other teams minus cowboys and saints. I don’t know enough but heard the qb class is weak.

If I were a Lions fan I would be that he moved on so fast. I mean yes if he's moving then he's moving but damn, and to a division opponent. ouch.

That happens a lot. After all, we’ve done that twice.

Norv- the Boys OC in 1994 to us
DQ- the Boys DC in 2024 to us

Next year, we can see one of our coordinators go to Giants, if they have an opening.

Jets hiring Aaron Glenn.

Pats- Hire Former Titans coach, Mike Vrabel
Bears- Hire Lions OC Ben Johnson.
Jets- Hire Lions DC Aaron Glenn
Raiders-
Jags-
Cowboys-
Saints-

Titans hired Chiefs Assistant GM Mike Borgonzi as their new GM. Raiders hired Bucs assistant GM John Spytek as their new GM. He also was a teammate of Brady’s , during their Michigan days.

Good choice for Jets, especially if Jets hire our assistant GM Lance Newmark. Of course there biggest decision is what to do at QB. They need move on Rodgers and all the players, Rodgers made them sign

Re: The annual NFL coaching carousel

I think Johnson had the Bears in his sights all along because of them having the #1, last year. There was no Bears opening, so he went thru the routine of other jobs; seeing if they really interested him. Then he went back to Lions. I think he wanted to coach Caleb all along.

Re: The annual NFL coaching carousel

Jags owner Shad Khan finally did something right by firing their gm Trent Baalke. Keeping Trent was hurting him this cycle and the last one.

I would be surprised if Rodgers is a Jet next year. Not sure what they do at qb but imagine Glenn will want to start fresh and rebuild. Rodgers hasn't worked out there and isn't getting any younger.

They're still weighed down by bad ownership, as we know it's almost impossible to overcome

Almost? In 24 years we never did. I think it is impossible. Jets and Browns are doomed. Cowboys increasingly appear to be as well (he said gleefully).

True. I don't know if Allen's transgressions are severe enough as Snyder's to force a sale though. Sounds like they are stuck currently. Glenn I feel is a good hire at this point for them though.

IMO in the NFL it's circular, all teams go through it . Sadly bad times(droughts) seem to go on longer then the good. You guys turned the corner after a while so has Detroit, Minnesota. Dallas is still in it as are the Giants. IMO San Fran , NE ,Miami Seattle Jets are all IMO on the downward trend.
