Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™

Steelers 21, Seahawks 6
MVP: Troy Polamalu, INT for TD, FF, 10 tackles

The Seahawks have not seen anything like the Steelers D this year...and with the 3rd ranked D, they will be able to stop the only true Seahawk threat in Shaun Alexander. Hasselbeck will fold like a house of cards when he's getting blitzed like a virgin on prom night. (Note: while the Skins D has been very solid, they have not played to the level as the Steelers have)

Big Ben will have 2 TD passes, and of course, the Bus will have his grind from the 1 for a TD.

The key for the 'Hawks will be Jerramy Stevens. The Steeler secondary will have no trouble covering deep, so it'll be up to Hasselbeck to find Stevens over the middle.

Steelers for me in this one, and probably low scoring due to the Steelers D. 21-17
I agree with you there. I mean who woulda' thunk the Seahawks HAD fans until this year? It's like the whole city of Seattle sleeps on the team until they make it to the playoffs. I have nothing against the team except Brown and Hasselbeck, but I want the Seahawks to lose because their fans don't deserve it.

Seahawks make this one of the most boring Superbowls we've seen in a while.

Seahawks win by two TDs+

It couldn't be more boring unless a team like the Cardinals was the NFC representative.

Hasselback will succeed where McNabb failed. Seahawks win easy. This is the closest thing to a lead pipe lock you will ever see.

I equally dislike both teams therefore I vote a Tie.

Steelers 18 (A safety, 1 TD + PAT and 3 field goals).
Seahawks 18 (2 TDs, 1 PAT, a 2PT, and a field goal).

Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™

The steelers seem like a better team... but that seattle O-line is REALLY REALLY good... I think they'll be able to neutralize most of the blitzing and the seattle D may be good enough to give their team a chance in a shootout.

Heart says steelers, but brain says seattle... their D isnt as good, but the offensive is just so much better. the steelers don't have an elite back and i just don't think their YPC average can be very high against a good run D.

Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™

Well I picked the Steelers strickly based on rooting interest. I really like Bill Cowher, Hiens Ward, Rothlesberger I LOVED in college, but I dont konw if I like him in the pro's and Bettis. I really HATE Joey Porter, but in the end, Cowher is just too good not to win a superbowl.

Re: The Official Warpath Super Bowl Poll™

I really hate getting on the Steelers bandwagon, but in all honesty I think they have too much for the Seahawks. I think if the Seahawks blitz then the Steelers will kill them in the short passing routes or deep, and then if the 'Hawks drop back a bit and try to cover the pass then the Steelers will impose their will. By the end of the game the Steelers will have definitely beat up the Seahawks D line. I believe that the current line is Steelers by 4 (tuesday night) so I'll take the Steelers with the points.

p.s. We beat both superbowl teams, and some of us got to see both superbowl teams here at home at Fedex.
9.26.5 Skins beat Steelers at Fedex 17-10 (Preseason but counts)
10.2.5 Skins beat Seahawks at Fedex 20-17

20-17 Steelers pull it out in a close one. Good match up, but could care less about both these damn teams.
