When he was cut, he settled on a a deal with Carolina, for about 3mil a year. That's a pretty big step down from 10mil a year.

As far as him coming back to Washington; I don't think he has enough left in the tank to be productive.

Not only that, where would Stephen Davis play in the rotation of backs we already have? There is no place on the team for him even if we could afford him, which we cant. Until there's a CBA we don't need to be thinking about signing anybody when at present we may have to consider cutting some players.
