Portis is a great back, but short yardage is not his thing. I would like to have someone to use like Gibbs used Riggs in the early 90's. Ducket is filling that same role right now in Atlanta and he's good at it.

he'll want a new contract, and what would atlanta want in a trade? if the skins ask first, its going to be more than if he's shopped. we have 7 rbs right now andat least 4 that are #2-#3 quality. portis i fine in short yardage, sellers can do short yardage (280lb) and nemo was brought in to do short yardage. TJ would be a wasted roster spot and contract.
