The overall cap plan, IMO, is to keep backloading contracts to sign players, restructure a few as needed every year, and sacrifice 1 big contract every year or so. Last year it was Stephen Davis. This year it was Champ Bailey, Lional Dalton, Bruce Smith, etc. I think it will be something like this.

the science is to spread out all of the marquee players decision years. When you have too many players with big numbers in the same year, however if it is just one per year we should be able to maneuver our way through this tangled web

Good stuff. And I agree that, as Sports crumug says, everybody does it. The idea that the skins are the only ones spending and everyone else is trying to be the Pats is just wrong.
