didnt the bears only offer him $20 million for 6 years so then we offer him $31 million for 7 years

we had to outbid chicago's contract, and the fact that chicago was his hometown, and the fact that he'd be a #2 there and a #3 or #4 here.

and whoever said it was a seller's market is right. the FA WRs suck, the draft WRs suck. either you have guys or you don't. hopefully BOTH of our WR aquisitions can step it up. otherwise randle-el is just a really expensive punt return guy.

I think gibbs might be gearing up to build a SB winner this year and blow it up in a couple years... i'm really not sure yet.

yeah, and it ended badly. at least its young talent this time. lloyd is mainly character issues, i think he has the talent (does he have the drive? will he whine?) and R-el has the character stuff, but might not be talented enough for his contract.

anyways, we'll see. if the cap explodes again its not a problem, but the more huge contracts you pass out, the more guys you have to let go once the salaries start going up.
