I'm sure that, unless we wished a multi-million dollar fine, we'd conduct an interview process that included appropriate representation from divergent minority groups. Then we'd hire Williams.

Actually, if Gibbs was to retire tomorrow, Williams would be named the interim coach, which would allow us to avoid any interviews until after this season. At that time, we would know if it was worth us paying him the bonus to not be the head coach.
