Re: Are the New England Patriots in trouble?

I'm interested to see how this all works out for them. They seem to have this attitude that they can plug anyone in and it's their system that drives their success. They haven't been afraid to let big names go, and they always seem to be able to keep on chuggin'. You have to wonder if sooner or later it will catch up with them.

I think it will catch up with them. I don't know how, two years running, you could have that type of turnover and it not hurt. On top of that lose two coordinators.

But we'll see.

I would be concerned if I were a Pats fan. I think if they run into injuries, as any team, they'll have some issues with depth.

It could be the Fins year next year, and honestly, why not? They have very good running game, a guy who likes to air-box and take boat trips on lakes as their QB, a defense that's pretty good year in year out, and a wide out who can play in Chambers.

Yeah I work with a fins fan and I told him and I will go on record here too, SUPER BOWL XLI - The Rubber Match, The Washington Redskins vs. The Miami Dolphins. With the skins winning to the tune of 35-21.

Wouldn't THAT be interesting to basically be playing the Dolphins in a "home" Super Bowl?

Re: Are the New England Patriots in trouble?

I don't know if anybody posted this article yet but I think the author made a good point.

http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5438096

And now aura and mystique have inexplicably left the Patriots. And for a team that's $19 million under the cap, paying a Hall of Fame kicker that actually strikes fear in the opposition $3 million a year was a small price to pay.
