I stand corrected. You're right, skinsfan. There is a section on potential defensive rookies of the year.
Sean Taylor, FS, Washington Redskins Reasons it could happen: There are very few things Taylor can't do. He shows great range, has the size to play close to the line of scrimmage in short-yardage situations and the speed to cover receivers on an island. Taylor is also a playmaker with excellent ball skills and is a threat to make something happen after every interception. Reasons it may not happen: Taylor is the most-physically-gifted player in this group but there are a couple of factors that could prevent him from having a strong first season. There is some concern that Taylor, who left school a year early, will hold out and miss part or all of training camp. The second reason is the Redskins' lack of a pass rush. While new defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is expected to send his talented linebackers after quarterbacks, Washington finished 27th in the league in sacks last year. If quarterbacks frequently get enough time to find open receivers, Taylor won't have many opportunities to make the big play.
