Re: Patten to be released?

That's pretty funny, all that's to the Patriots offense is Patton outrunning DB's, as if the structure of the patterns and the ability to isolate defenders had nothing to do with it along with who just may go down as the greatest QB ever. If that's so answer me this, how come Patten hasen't done that everywhere he's been? In fact the only place he's done it is New England, he didn't do it for the Giants which is one reason he was cut, he sure didn't do it for us. I really wasen't a big fan of the Jacobs pick when we made it, but the guy has had some bad luck as far as injuries. There is a reason Saunders was brought in and it's because our offensive scheme the past 2 years has been horid, we now have the best guy in the biz, and he wasen't brought in because we had no talent on offense he was brought in because we couldn't utilize the overall talent that we have, take a long hard look at G Williams, and take a look at the transformation of our defense in 1 off season without [as many like to say] our best defensive player in Arrington, many would have laughed if you told them before Williams arrived that Pierce would winde up being our best LB, and we wouldn't mis a beat with Marshall filling in for Lavar, but that's exactly what happened. The same will happen with Williams, he's done wherever he's been, and if both Patton and Jacobs excel in under Saunders well what will be the decision? Maybe both stay, but I wouldn't shut the kid down just yet until you have a chance to see him in a real NFL offense, make that an elite NFL offense! I also get the feeling that Gibbs likes Jacobs, we know he likes Patton but I do believe he thinks Jacobs has talent, and considering Gibbs focus on special teams Jacobs is not dead in the water as of yet, Maybe he will be tossed aside, rest assured I don't think he's the second coming of Keenan Mcardel, but he may have a lot to offer that he wasen't able to showcase because of injuries and the type of previos offenses we have had.
