Re: Name controversy

I have said this often to friends. The Cleveland Indians logo could be seen as offensive, but not their name. I don't hear anything about them and any problems with their name situation. Our logo is one of the most recognizable in pro sports. The indian portrait is a regal rendering of a native american and being part indian, have no problem with it at all, and in fact am proud such a symbol is seen weekly throughout the world. However the name "Redskins" seems to rankle maybe 1% of the Native American Indian community. PC has gone way too far. Is the Kansas City Chiefs name in jeopardy? I have a deep aversion to cowboys and the silly hats they wear and the way they treat animals at the rodeos and find their practices offensive, but am I crying foul? Lets all grow up and cut the PC crap now before they take every last ounce of the freedoms the constitution allows from us (this is starting to sound like Bluto Blutarsky's speech in Animal House...sorry about that). Lets just lighten up...thats all.
