Reasons Why The Redskins - NY Giants Message Boards

Improving their team by getting the 3rd receiver from the Steelers, a discontent from the 49ers (who in case you haven't looked lately could use all the young talent in the world especially at the wide receiver position but considered Lloyd expendable), and a safety who will make what Santana did to Williams last year on Monday night a weekly occurence.
Oh, and why they'll suck for the next few years:
1. Once again they gave away their draft for the aforementioned players
2. Joe Gibbs won't stick around to much longer
3. Ownership will never learn what it takes to make a consistent competitor, last year was a product of the Eagle falling apart because they decided a year earlier to bring in a malcontent to play receiver...hope it works out as well for the Redskins as it did for the Eagles minus the SuperBowl appearance

that last one has me baffled. how do the eagles have anything to do with us making the playoffs last season? i was gonna join that site and defend our position but i can tell by this that they are a bunch of idiots. And in the words of our very own Schneed....Efff 'em!

Seriously, eff that! I have no idea what the guy was trying to say. Is he saying that if the Eagles were still good we wouldn't have swept them and we would have gone 8-8 instead?

But wouldn't the same thing apply to the Giants?

He makes a interesting point. Think about it. If all the games on the schedule were to be played against the best team that franchise had ever fielded, (if for example Week 1, the '85 Bears were our opponent) we probably would have gone 0-16.

Well 1-15. We'd still beat the Cardinals.

It's just asinine to say that just because team A was good one year, team B's good season was a fluke because team A should always beat them. Games aren't played on paper.

And yes, if one is going out of their way enough to use this type of twisted reasoning, how twisted must they be to not see that it also applies to the Giants. That was stupidity all around.

And on top of it, he's wrong. The Redskins appear to be a better team than the Giants right now.

And if he didn't at least think that was the case, that person would not have taken the time to make a case against it.

It feels so good to be the one team that everyone hates because they KNOW the Skins are going to roll over them and kick their ass. Ha ha ha!! I LOVE IT!! Last year we got little or no hate mail... everyone just thought we didn't have a chance. THIS year Dallas and the Giants can't get enough of talking smack about the Skins. Ha ha!!! I feel sorry for them. It's so nice to be on this side of the fence... and all of the other teams over there on the other side filled with envy!
