I'm Starting Another Betts Trade Rumor

I cant imagine Houston cutting their franchise running back. I mean if Davis really isnt making progress...and they feel this thing is gonna linger throughout most of the season...the worst i could see them doing is putting the man on IR...that way at least he would be available again next year.

But yeah...earlier i read a similar article...where the texans coach was saying that if the season started today...their rookie 6th round running back pick would be the starter...i also immediately thought that they would be a potential desination for ladell.

I like ladell and all...and think he's a talented back...but honestly...i believe we kinda have a logjam now at running back. I mean if you consider...that on average...we'll prolly run the ball an average of like 30-35 times a game...then its really gonna be hard to get everybody their carries with all the guys we have right now.

I would imagines Portis...is gonna get his 15-25 carries a game...

and that leaves what like 5 carries or less a piece for betts and duckett...not to mention cartwright...

I dunno...it seems like if we brought in duckett...and gave up what we did for him...it was cause the coaches felt he fit the scheme better than betts...and in that case i could see us getting some good value for betts now...maybe get a backup lineman...or that 3rd rounder we gave up for duckett back.
