The refs are allowed to make mistakes on the field, but the instant replay guys should have had the right calls... not only did the oregon player touch the ball before the sooner did, but the oklahoma guy recovered it. It was a pretty egregious mistake.

At the same time, I think the OU staff and administration are taking this a bit far. When the damn president of the university sends a letter crying conspiracy, then it's time to take a step back... like isn't the president suppose to focus on menial things, such as maybe... academics and research direction???

Also, the OU response isn't really quelling the fanbase at all- these refs and instant replay guys are getting death threats... it's just a freakin' game! During last season's Rose Bowl, Vince Young obviously made an illegal forward lateral(knee on the ground) that directly led to a score. Now this is the national championship game that we're talking about. Yet you didn't hear the Trojan nation or Pete Carroll asking for Texas to return the crystal. We've moved on and so should OU.
