This was a BIG victory for us. The "O" really stepped up.
I haven't been a big Brunell fan, but he really came through today and I'm happy to eat my words. Several of his downfield passes were so sweet, especially that last one - perfectly placed, perfectly timed and 'ol Moss put the moves on the backs. What makes it all the more sweet is this was against the #1 "D" in the league. Our "D" is still struggling on stopping the pass. Rogers did not play well today. Lots of completions against him. On the positive, both Carter and AA played much better today. Springs, please come back, SOON! The way we won this game will pay dividends down the road. We are playing with passion, aggression and confidence - things that were lacking in the first two games. This win was HUGE for the team. And congrats to Saunders for an excellent game plan. Portis, too, was a monster out there today. |
