The Eagles haven't played JACK... nothing REAL in my opinion. And I hate how people say "considering the success we had last year" UM, we were out of it as far as most of you were concerned, yet we made it back. I can only hope our players read this threads and hope that some of us still believe and stand behind them. And NOTE: Springs just might be BACK this weekend! Woooooooooo Hooooooooooooooooooo!

You guys blow. We have the same defense.. it's just in an upset without Springs. HOWEVER, if Springs returns.. as he did in practice today... I have a STONG feeling I'll be feeding you all some CROW for Thanksgiving!

I compare last year to one of those games where you are losing 17-3 and you are thinking, they could still come back, and then they do. Amazing! The point is that you can't count on doing that every week, because normally you lose those games. Last year was an incredible run, but I'm really not comfortable being in that position for the second year in a row. Remember, we were one less kickoff return in arizona away from making that run, plus the eagles imploded in the second half of the final game, saving our necks. This was supposed to be the year that we didn't stress about making the playoffs, and instead focused on taking the next step. Right now I'd take 10-6 and a wildcard spot in a heartbeat.

Of course last year doesn't buy us anything for this year, but the point is that last year is the perfect example of just when you think you've hit rock bottom, things can turn around for the better.

The point is to not give up hope, it's a long season and stranger things have happened.

It can also serve as a rallying point for the team. They can look back on last year and know that it can be done.

They beat down Dallas who pummelled us and if they had punted on 4-1 they woudl have beaten the G-men who manhandled us.

The Eagles are clearly superior to the Skins at the moment.
