Plus, keep in mind many in Philly did not consider McNabb a superior QB, as a matter of fact they didn't want the team to draft him, they wanted Ricky Williams instead. They took McNabb, drveloped him, and he has paid dividens for them, and again he was their player. We took Jason Campbell, and instead of developing him the way most teams would have, he's still at square one mainly because of our overwhelming desire to "win now". I could live with a loosing season if it meant we were attempting to develop a QB of the future. The QB is the heart and soul of every team from an offensive standpoint, it would serve us well to start thinking in that direction starting now.

It didn't hurt Palmer to sit for a year, and it doesn't appear to be hurting Rivers to sit out two years. Campbell is going to be a great QB, but I don't know that there's any definitive proof that he'd be better off long-term playing right now. Didn't Delhomme sit a few years as well?

What I would like is for Campbell to play in NFL Europe next spring

I think sending Campbell to Europe would be a horrible move. The amount of experience he would get would be minimal and he would probably be protected by bad offensive linemen. Also he would miss some of the offseason drills where a lot of offensive can chemistry be built. NFLE is for players on the bubble who are struggling to make an NFL roster, no place for JC right now.

Re: T.J. Duckett Conspiracy

I just finished watching the Redskins Report with George Michael, Sonny Jurgensen, John Riggins, and Michael Wilbon, again they stated the same thing they did last week. The Redskins traded for Duckett because Philadelphia was interested in him, and the didn't want to see him go to Philly. There must be some substance to it because they were all in agreement which to me means they all heard the same thing. Now if I'm Duckett, I wouldn't be pleased with a move like that at all. The Redskins have parked him in the neighbor's garage and appear to have no interest in playing him. JG has a different excuse each week as to why he will not be playing. His value is plumeting because he'll be a free agent at years end with no opportunity to play and increase his value. Talk about a conspiracy, maybe that is their plan, to stunt his growth so they won't have to give up any more than they had origionally planed with "hopes" of signing him to a new contract of lesser value than he would have recieved had he been able to showcase his talents so other teams could get a better look at what he could do. As I said before, this trade remains a complete mystery to me.
