FoxSports - Little payoff from Redskins' investments

FOX Sports - NFL - Little payoff from Redskins' investments

ASHBURN, Va. (AP) - The Washington Redskins invested a lot to obtain Brandon Lloyd, TJ Duckett and David Patten.

So far, they've yet to get much in return.
Lloyd has six catches in five games. Duckett has played in only one game. Patten was inactive for the first time in his career last week. For various reasons, none of the three has found a groove in Washington. The Redskins sent two draft picks to San Francisco for Lloyd in March, then signed him to a long-term contract extension. Last year, he was the best receiver on a bad team. Now he's having trouble getting open and getting the ball on a team with higher expectations.

I guess this dumbass doesn't actually watch much game film. Cooley, Randle El, Portis, and Sellers must be having trouble getting open too...

Another struggling team news piece.

The best way to make these articles go away is to win some football games. Go Skins -- Win!!!

Cheers.

Re: FoxSports - Little payoff from Redskins' investments

do you people think this crap will stop. Well, it wont. not until we win. we spend money every off season and lose (except last year, and we didn't spend that much, just moss) We are the jokes of the NFL the past 8 years. Every year we spend like crazy, shit on the draft, overhall the roster, switch coaches(not since Joe) send players out the door, over pay for players. what makes you think we shouldn't be the jokes of the NFL. Just like the Yankees. If they lose they get nothing but bad pub. why, because George spends money and pays more for three players a year than the entire devil rays team. Stop with all the fox, SI, everyone is out to get us, everyone hates the Redskins. It is getting old for christ sake.
Let us win some games, consistantly, keep players around for more than 2 to 3 years, coaches around for more than a year, and make the playoffs every year, not every 8 years. then people will stop trashing us.

I don't know, they speak the truth but the question is it too soon to speak the truth? The season is still young.

Lloyd HAS been struggling to get open. Balls just aren't going his way.

Re: FoxSports - Little payoff from Redskins' investments

Lloyd has been the third and fourth option for Brunell. And couple that with the fact that the supposedly solid O-line that we have hasn't been so solid this year. Yeah, that's right guys, this team just needs to go out and win football games.

I bet Campbell could find Lloyd at least 3-4 times a game.

All they're saying is that the production on the field does not match the spending off the field. When we begin to produce to the expectations of our payroll, we're going to constantly be critisized and it's understandable. Anyone who does not understand that is not facing reality, that's why their being critical is a non issue as far as I am concerned because I understand where they're coming from and can deal with it. With all that spending comes high expectations, and when you don't produce you're going to be talked about (bad) it's the nature of the beast. We will live with it until until our bite matches our bark.
