I think had our O-line been able to get a push off the line and run-block (e.g. inside the 5 in the 1st quarter), we would have crushed them.

Re: Give Props to Brunell

he did pretty darn good w/o the teams #1 wr, a pretty non existent running game except for one play, and a mixture of dropped passes and bad calls nullifying completions. He did make a bad decision to try and force it into lloyd which luckily wasn't intercepted and could have run for a first down a couple times if he had his mentality of a few years ago, but he looked damn nice with a couple lasers 15+ yards down the field. I was just excited to see the offense making attempts down the field and look at what it resulted in with a few big catches and almost as many big penalties.

Re: Give Props to Brunell

Im not bashing Brunell, i think he had a good game today and came up with an extremely good win but in all honesty, brunell doesnt play well for a couple games then comes out with a big one, which seems to be a trend do you think the orginization sees this or does this only further the love joe gibbs has for mark brunell after today?

He didn't play "great," but he played pretty well. I know talking about Brunell is like talking about religion (it's black and white, right and wrong), but even I have to admit he played well today.

As has been pointed out, we had no running to speak of and were without our #1 playmaker, but the offense looked pretty solid against a good defense.

Brunell played well today. Let us celebrate w/o any player bashing (except AA).

Re: Give Props to Brunell

Anyone praising Brunell nedds to watch those passes again (particularly the one to Cooley for the TD, the one that went through Williams' hands, the fetal position on the pass rush, the non-throw to Lloyd when he bumped into Cooley and Cooley fell down leaving Lloyd wide open and behind the D, the one......) and then tell me he looked good/OK.

Yeah, Sheriff, it's a lot like religion. You're either blinded by faith or a rational person.

Re: Give Props to Brunell

Or, RedskinRat, you're blinded by sheer hatred.

I've been bashing Brunell for weeks, but I'm willing to call a spade a spade and give him credit where credit is due. Brunell had 192 yards passing, 1 TD and no INTs. Brunell and the receivers also drew about 80 yards in pass interference calls. So, while Brunell only had 192 yards passing, the passing game produced about 272 yards and should have produced over 300 (the Fauria penalty negated a 37 yard pass to Lloyd). I'd call that a good day.

Re: Give Props to Brunell

I will be watching the game again later this week, I hope others do too, then we'll discuss it again and you tell me if Brunell looked poor/average/good.

I'm not hating I'm calling it as I see it.

Shows what you know. Lloyd bumped into Sellers, not Cooley. You act like no QB in the league ever makes a bad pass or a bad decision. Sure Brunell didn't set the world on fire today but he played a solid game and damnit we won.

Seriously it's like you'd rather the team lose just so you can keep bitching about Brunell. Enjoy the fucking moment

I will accept the criticism. I have called for Brunell's head.

He was a Pro-Bowler today.

And for that idiot Rexi, Brandon Lloyd was f-ing money today. F you and your miserable team.

I'm glad you joined me as a Brunell-hater who's willing to swallow his pride and give props where they are due.

Ooooooh, I got a player wrong. So fucking what, you know what play I meant.

Brunell isn't good enough for this team to progress, why is that so hard for people to comprehend?

Yes, I'm happy we won. No, I don't think that Brunell WON it for us. There's a subtle difference that I can see, if you're honest I'm sure you can too.
