Re: Give Props to Brunell

brunell was efficient once again for us, pretty solid game aside from the botched snap, but the win is what really matters. we are limiting turnovers, but not creating them

Re: Give Props to Brunell

I think if you're going to "bash" him for near INTs and say we almost lost the game you have to also say our receivers have dropped passes this season and we've almost won games. For example, while it wasn't necessarily a dropped pass, Brunell's endzone pass to Moss against the Vikings was right on the money. A great play by Sharper prevented a TD and probably a win. But it's part of the game. It's a game of inches as they say

Re: Give Props to Brunell

I'm just glad they were throwing the ball over the middle and down the field....on third and long he actually threw it past the first down marker unlike the last game when it be third and long and he dump it off for 2 yards..

Re: Give Props to Brunell

Here's why I don't think you can let it just be a mindless celebration: Brunell did not play well. It sets the cause back if the cause is a Super Bowl run. I can't blindly wave the flag and Rah-Rah and unless the rules of the forum have changed I believe that we're free to dissent?

I don't enjoy being called stupid by someone who's displaying their own stupidity by making a statement with no facts to back it up.

Watch the film, see what Brunell did, come back and defend what you saw as 'excellent' or 'unbelieveable'. I'll enjoy the debate.

If you think I'm "stupid" enough to get pulled into this mudslinging contest, think again.

devil's advocate: so if Novak missed the 2nd kick and we lost, Brunell played lousy? one point doesn't necessarily make the other true.

Not something I'm arguing about.

People are posting like Brunell was dominant. He was barely adequate. While he stays as the starting QB we have to put up with mediocre/sub-par QB play and that's the kind of attitude that prolonges the inevitable.

Watch the game again and tell me what you think.

Re: Give Props to Brunell

POINT is that Brunell is our QB and will remain so the remainder of the year, so why do we have to talk about this week in and week out. He's not going anywhere, and to those of us that like enjoying a WIN, it gets old listening to the same crap over and over and over again from the bashers.

You need to go back and re-read these posts. Most people are saying he wasn't perfect, but he got the job done. You just won't give the guy credit AT ALL. It makes people very aggravated that you look at his play so critically, but in reality it really wasn't that bad over all. You pick the guy to pieces, and that isn’t fair. If that makes me sound like a 5yr old, so be it. I don’t give a damn.

RedskinRat,

You, as everyone else are free to state your opinion. This site would be boring if we all agreed and, so, your opinion brings something to the table. I, however, also reserve the right to say your post has no merit whatsoever. J/k

Sorry, just the first few pages:

He made some nice deep passes
distributing the ball nicely
did a pretty good job
threw some lasers over the middle
played a very good game
he did pretty darn good
played well today
He was a Pro-Bowler today
He was a field general today
a commendable job

No, he didn't, and that's why I said so in my initial post.

My last post in this thread (possibly).

And it would still be unjustified.

And this is how many weeks hes played 'well' in a row? What's the number that comes after 1?

I think his last bad game was the first Dallas game. He deserves a lot of the blame for that game, but it was also the most unfavorable of situations.
