By no means do I think Brunell is a glorious defender of the elite, supreme in all of his duties, crusher of the weak, etc... He is however, the best chance one game at a time. For each game that we win, each game that we advance... Brunell is the best chance. Period. There is not an option to start thinking "long term" untill we're eliminated from contention, and I don't disagree with that philosophy at all. What if we just "gave up" last year at 5-6... Let's be real, understand the situation, and stop all the bitching. His stats aren't bad (but I don't mean to use them as leverage, interpret them as you wish), he makes plays when we need them, and he's our best chance to win.
