True, but lets remember that the D did make some stops, and we turned around and did absolutely nothing. We threw one pass deep to Lloyd and after that it was dump off city....

Brunell looked awful today. Very dissapointing...

No D. No Kicker. No O.

That's the season folks.

The defense held the Eagles to 20 on the road. They gave up a few big plays--and one of the TDs was on a fluke fumble. I wouldn't say they were horrible. Mediocre maybe. However, our offense should be able to muster three touchdowns. Unless they are led by a QB that inspires not even a modicum of fear in the opposing defense.

Corrected that last line for you.

Randal El has a better arm than Brunell. I don't think Mark looks downfield for more than .0000000001 seconds before he dumps the ball out to Betts with a LB running full speed at him already.

PLEASE PLAY CAMPBELL JUST AS SOME SORT OF HOPE FOR NEXT SEASON!

Any word on Portis' injury and how bad it is???

Looks like a broken hand and he's out 3-4 weeks I believe. I agree that Randle El has a better arm than Brunell.....hell I think I have a better arm than Brunell.

By the way welcome to the board. Nice first post.

Re: Redskins @ Eagles 11/12/06 game thread

Anyone see that play early in the game when Brunell threw the ball away because of a blitzing lineman, when he had someone running a cross route WIDE open? Brunnell is a completely different player than he used to be.

All older QBs just throw the ball into the stands anytime they feel pressure now...except for Favre

Re: Redskins @ Eagles 11/12/06 game thread

The D had no TOs, no sacks, gave up two huge plays, gave up a nine minute drive at the end (it was over, but whatever). They were not good.

The offense, however, was worse. 3 points. And the way they looked, even when the iggles were trying hard to let us back in the game, no one on either sideline seemed like they believed it could happen. MB's back to back negative yard dumpoffs, combined with his INT for a TD says all you need to know about that.

Portis broke his hand. My guess is he's done for the year, but we'll see.

Exactly! This year's defense doesn't force turnovers like they used to. All the missed tackles today made me think these guys need a little Pop Warner coaching for refreshment on how to make tackles. I'm amazed at the difference between last year's D and this year's.

Truer words have never been spoken. The D has been consistently bad this year, and abysmal today. Brunell, while I agree his time is up, has at least had a flash of brilliance here and there.

Can't we all just agree that the entire team, coaching staff and management included, suck balls?

Yeah we gave up some big plays today, but the tackling was horrendous (sp). Even Taylor played shitty today....

YES. but we don't have a backup DEFENSE. we DO have a backup QB though, and we paid ALOT for him. like some draft choices that could've been starting on this D...
