The defense is weak this year. The defense was incredible in 2004 (6-10) and solid last year (10-6). So Joe was .500 with two very good defenses. What is the variable? His handpicked QB.

Now that the defense is shit, we are a losing team. I think it would be a major accomplishment if we win 5 games this year.

While that is true, you are making the assumption that they do so on the arm of a................playmaker? I can't name more than a handful of QB's I consider playmakers, can you? Point is they have other assets

Not necessarily so. His first year here, there were new players on the offense having to learn a new system. First year for Portis and Brunell...and our best OL at the time, Jansen out for the entire season! Last year Santana Moss comes in and was basically the only goto guy who was a deep threat for us toward the end of the season. Brunell played hurt that first season and Ramsey played scared. It's not black and white.

You're right, sadly. We are getting blown out by .500 teams like the Eagles and worse. It's a very, very bad situation. The fix is going to take a couple years I'd imagine. As far as QB, let's see what we have in Campbell over the last seven games. If he's not the QB of the future, let's draft one. Lord knows we'll have a great draft position.

It is that black and white. Look at the Bears. They were a playoff team with Kyle Orton. The 2004 defense was as good as the Bears the last two years.

2004 Brunell was worse than Kyle Orton. 2005 hurt Brunell was worse than Kyle Orton. 2006 hurt Brunell is the worst QB in the league. I said it. He is the WORST starting QB in the league. I challenge someone to come up with somebody who is worse.

Joey Harrington, Andrew Walter, and Brad Johnson (he's been pretty bad lately).

Wrong by a mile on all 3 counts.

Harrington had a 400 yard game recently. Brad used us and is much better than #8. Walter makes throws even with a college quality line.

The Bears defense has not taken a nose dive like ours has obviously done this year. The Bears were winning with Kyle because they had the #1 defense in the league which takes off tons of pressure on the offense. Couple that with a good solid running game and it's obvious why they're winning.

Our running game has not been consistent this year. We've brought in a new offensive system and there are obvious problems with pass protection. Even if Campbell comes in and lights it up, we still have problems with pass protection (which is why I don't feel Campbell would be that successful this year anyway,) Portis is still injured, and our defense still hasn't learned to tackle and to NOT give up the big play.

It is irresponsible to assume that bringing in a new QB fixes it all. It is NOT a black and white situation.

Do you know how good our skill players are?

P Manning would have 60 TD's in our offense.

Oh ye of little faith, GR you know skinsguy is coming to get you! How dare you say he's the worst, Don't you remember that 5 game stretch last year where everything went right as the planets alligned. [5 out of 40 ain't bad] And don't froget Gibbs keep's backing him so there is some unknown mystery that we are all to feeble minded to comprehend right now, Gibbs knows what he's doing no matter how ridiculous Brunell looks, see what you probably don't understand is, he's fight's his gut's out you know.

Other than that he's been one of the worst QB's over all I have ever seen.

Now you are really stretching it! Hhhmmmm....And how many points did Peyton Mannings' team score yesterday? He isn't exactly lighting it up this year either. This isn't Madden football or playstation.

It's funny how people like you keep rehashing the same arguments over and over again in multiple threads without actually using any reading comprehension skills whatsoever. We could be debating how I prefer pie or the answer to question #3 and you'd find someway of working in how you prefer Ramsey as your man crush over sweet cherry pie. We get it...you are in love with Patrick Ramsey. Just admit it and get it over with so the rest of us can actually have a mature, adult conversation.
