he signs one year deals every year. that way he only counts 425k against the cap, instead of 850k (810k salary + 40k signing bonus).

I talked with Ethan's brother today at lunch. I asked him how Ethan was doing and whether if he knew Ethan was coming back next year or not. He said Ethan's doing well, then laughed and said that at this point in his career he basically just waits to get a phone call on whether he's supposed to report for work or not.

He told me he was going to a game in December and would try to hook me up with some stuff. I should have asked him to hook me up with some tickets.
