Regardless, it won't be any different for Campbell. It's not like the backups are running a different system than Brunell was. He'll just have better playmakers to get the ball to.

he's lookig at the BIG picture....if campbell could play THAT well, he woulda been playing already, right? logical concern but, with Gibbs' affinity for verterans it may prove otherwise....

Actually, it was a limp attempt at some lowbrow bathroom humor. Next time I'll try harder

Yeah, my attempt to acknowledge the humor was met with some stiff resistance.

If someone still didn't get the joke after 4 hours I was going to talk to an admin

Not sure, you could be right. I wasn't paying THAT much attention.

EDIT: If anyone caught the original, it was not a freudian slip.

I wouldn't call this season a waste. It looks like Brunell could be led out to pasture after this season if Campbell does well. Saunders will get all gears going on this juggernaut. While it sucks now, long term is looking good.
The only problem with the LT plan is that Saunders is just as old as Gibbs.

He looks to be in great shape (running down the field with players) so as long as he's willing to call plays then age shouldn't be an issue.

Actually this may work to our benefit. The stress of being a head-coach is obviously greater than being an OC (or a DC). Saunders may decide that head-coaching is not in his future and decide to remain an OC. Why change jobs when your current job is paying like a head coach.

Re: Saunders Quote in ESPN article

Exactly. If I got paid the same as the director here and got to keep my current job, I'd love that shit.
