First of all you have to use a qb that can make all the throws to make the Al Saunders offense work. and it takes time to learn a new system. We need to all just relax and be patient. This season is a wash...lets get JC used to playing in this offense and get a healthy portis and reload for next season. No more free agent spending sprees lets use the draft to find our missing pieces.

if you would have told me at the end of last season what a mess our defense would be in, i would have laughed at you. but the defense is, should be top priority this off season. let campbell get experience working with the same players and system, for more then one season

Hooskins, I don't really agree with what you are saying. Ok, Al Saunders, and Joe Gibbs are both proven guys in the NFL, but our personnel doesn't really fit Saunders' offensive sceme. A) Saunders has always had a stud at quarterback, we have a washed up veteran, and a 2nd year guy we really don't know too much about. Neither one of them has proved that they are as good as Warner or Green, and therefore may not be able to do the same things as they could for their offenses. B) Al Saunders like to run all these sweeps, tosses, off tackles and stretch plays. Guess who doesn't like to run the ball like that? A one Mr. Clinton Portis, and the offensive line!!! Portis makes it known ALL THE TIME that he likes to run it up the gut, yet we don't run those plays enough. We have big, powerful offensive lineman who like to smash the ball up the middle, they're not guys who are used to running these stretch plays. Don't you think Saunders Should change the offense to fit CP and the offensive line's needs?

There are only minimal changes needed for this offense to be where we want it to be. I think we should stay with the system we have because there's nothing wrong with it other than it's new. I would like to see Al Saunders stay with the running game a little longer even if he's not always getting the desired results on the early downs.

What makes me feel best about this offense is the arm of Jason Campbell. He has an NFL arm that is going to command respect. Just watching him throw those those deep out patterns to both sides of the field sunday was something to behold. Teams are going to be forced to play much different on defense with him under center. This offense will come together with him at the helm because with a little more work, he'll be able to execute Saunders offense to perfection. It's not always the playcaller, but the one executing the calls.

What do you suggest??? We fire him, and switch up the offense, again? I think that would be a terrible idea. Yeah Saunders needs a good QB, hopefully that is what Campbell will become. It will take a while to develop, but we have all seen what Saunders can do.

Saunders isnt an idiot, he knows the line isnt doing what he wants it too, either we will pickup linemen in the offseason, or watch for Saunders to run more up the gut.

I agree he has gotten away from the run a bit, and I expect him to get back it.

Almost everyone on this site agrees that too much change in the recent past, has hurt our team. There is no point in changing again. Give Al one more year, and then judge.

I have mentioned all of this in my posts in thread, so I suggest you check it out. I think I have made the case very clear, but my word has little to do with how the majority of the fan base thinks.

Why change? Because we barely made it out of the wild card game, and our offense was culprit. We had bigger and higher dreams, and bc we made the playoffs, we wanted to take it to the next step. Our D was fine last year(I feel that change was not needed at all), but our offense was completely owned.

It was not like we put in a new offense last year and it was taking time to develop, the offense had been in place for two years, but it had never really gotten going. And when it was simplified, it worked for 4 games, and then it was completely stopped.

That is why change was needed. Gibbs system was in place for two years, and it didn't work. It would be beyond unfair to not give Al ATLEAST two years, because he is proven as well.

If last years offense would have had more than Moss & Cooley maybe they would have made it further into the playoffs, I think it was a mistake to bring Saunders in because that changed the personality & identity of the offense. Under Gibbs last year did improve over the year before.

I agree we need more help on defence than offence this offseason . But , our offence SUCKED last year we had games against Chicago , Oakland , Arizona , NYG were the offence could not get into the endzone . I hope they make some good moves during the offseason , and maybe for once think about building a team that can be competative for years , because if they make the same types of moves over the next two years like they have the last two ,,,,, we are gonna be bad for a while . Hire a freakin GM !

Take control! Yeah, I say so. What ever happened to what he did well? Yeah that's right, if he is not so worried about his new freaking role as the freaking public relations guy for the Redskins. If I hear another presser of him first stating that he would like to thank the fans, I'm going to explode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What happened to the coach I knew in the 80's? Freaking shoving that ball up your ass side ways play that us fans loved so much. Physical play, toughness, heart, and "real guts"! the offense went from 30 to 11 last year, it went south due to injuries and lack of other viable threats.brunnell was hurt in the last giant game, portis was wore down. the line lost randy for the year.we could have and should have won in seatlle last year. our line is ill suited for the saunders offense.besides. after having faught soo hard to find an identity in the running game and defense you don't throw it out and start over.dockery is not suited to saunders offense.we were right there for an a chance to make some noise. the offense was good enough, and now improved with the 2 new receivers and our d was kickin. now we lost them both.saunders o should do well in a year or two. but when your right at the edge of going to the show doing it one way, you don't change directions and go another.we may need a new o line now. these new blocking scheme's seems to have they guys befuddled.for the entire snyder era we've had change and turnover, now we find our way of doing it and it's changed again. i can see why this team seems lost.and now we are left with the familiar frase , well, there's next year. this a bitter dsappointment. but this is and always will be my team.

Again to all you haters, please read the Post article with Jaws that analyzes Campbell. It isnt a bad offense, and now you have someone other than me telling you that.
