I think this is a case where they're stubborn. I mean look at Campbell thus far: we knew it, the media knew it, the players probably knew it. Now he comes in and is making plays Brunell could have never made.

Again, that's easy for us to say now. Who knows how he would have looked if we had went to him earlier in the year. Gibbs probably stuck with Brunell too long, but the QB was not all to blame for the struggles this year.

The D up until last week has been pure garbage, just garbage.

Also, the implementation of Saunders' offense hasn't been as smooth as anticipated.

If the D was playing up to par and the transition to Saunders went a bit smoother, perhaps we're sitting here at 7-4 rather than 4-7.

with the misuse of preseason, not everyone anticipated it to be smooth seems like we're back to a gibbs based running game now too.

Come on thats BS. Yes he made some plays that MB may not have made but maybe MB would have made some plays that JC didn't make. Yes it was time to turn the team over for our future but for this year as of now its not making a difference. As for Rock there is a reason he is not playing and it could be a number of thing which we have no way of knowing.

Exactly right - we don't know. However, what we do know is that Holdman isn't playing well - even being charitable you couldn't say that the guy has played better than average at any point and has dipped below average fairly often. If we know that (and I doubt anyone would argue) then the coaches certainly know it but for whatever reason, they won't put Rocky in and you have to feel that it is because they think he will be worse than Holdman at this point.

Senile old Rumsfeld summed it up beautifully with his known knowns and unknown unknowns etc. To us and the coaches it is a known known that Holdman is poor. To us Rocky is an unknown unknown but to the coaches his is a known unknown. (Good old Rummy!)

Seriously, our coaching staff may be the best ever assembled. Obviously, they have not yet delivered what IS expected. I personally think they will.
Joe2 has been commonly mentioned over the years, as "arguably the best NFL coach ever". If he can get back to the SB, it will be undeniably so.
That having been said, for the most part these guys are the best of the best.......the Top Guns of their fields. How long do we really think they could survive, let alone achieve the results and reputations they have making decisions on childish emotion, and petty baseless rules. I for one, can believe no part of that. They are paid to, and achieve what they have by putting the best team on the field. Nothing more

More than likely, Campbell wouldn't have made those plays last year or even at the beginning of the season. I think him carrying a clip board is what has helped him more than anything else.
