Yeah. And he's obviously in his first year in this system.

Second season. Fifth season in a row with a new offense. And while Campbell made a few bad plays, I think the second pick would have been a touchdown if Betts had made any kind of attempt to chip the blitzing linebacker(which Portis does better than anyone), to keep Campbell from getting blasted at the point on release. However, my goat of the week would have to be the coaching staff. Why, when you've racked up 80+ rushing yards in the first quarter, basically abandon the run in the second half. They went from 90% runs to less than 50%, when they were still ahead, and every back on the roster was running all over them.

Hands down -- defense.

We should have been able to win after getting up by 2 TDs. However, the offense did fall off rather quickly -- our only points came early in the game.

My bad guys. I guess Romo has 2 more years than JC, and that would be significant -- especially since he didn't learn a new offense this year.

Vick could have run on every play and gotten 10+ yards if he wanted to.....that's a problem. He didn't need to, but if the game was closer at the end, I couldve seen him scramblling more often, tearing us a new A$$HO*E.

Re: Skins/Falcons goat of the day

Well, Campbell's first INT was painful, but he didn't have a chance on that play. He should've eaten the ball but he's a playmaker (GREAT run for a first down to set up a TD in the first quarter and plenty of deep balls) and tried to do something. After he completely torched them in the first quarter, the Atlanta defense just started blitzing EVERYONE every play so he wouldn't have time to throw. It worked great. It would've worked on ANY QB. We should've used 2 TEs and kept Sellers in at all times when it started, but we were still using 1 back and 3 receivers most plays. Campbell had no chance, so I can't blame him for the bad INT to a lineman or the loss. Thankfully, Betts didn't hurt his shoulder on the tackle.

I have to pick the defense again.

Yes, I know they're decimated by injuries, but the guys on the field need to step up. Vernon Fox looked good again. Ade Jimoh played CB great after subbing in for the injured Kenny Wright, who was in for Springs. Ade had 7 tackles. Andre Carter had 11 and a sack and was being held ALL day. I don't remember one big hit by Taylor all day. I was hoping he could whack Vick in the open field, but he missed the hit on the one good chance he got. We did knock Vick around though, hurting his wrist and his leg, but we let the RBs run all over us and Ashley Lelie suddenly remembered how to catch the ball.

Rock Cartwright, nice blocked kick.

Re: Skins/Falcons goat of the day

Split the goat between the O Line and Defense.

O Line not giving Campbell much to work with. For the offense to be successful, the kid's gonna need time to throw. And his receivers need to stop dropping the damn ball (Cooley).

Defense had 2 starters missing (Springs, Vincent), and had to lean heavily on the front 7 to stop the NFL's #1 rush offense. Atlanta got 2 TDs through the air, on 8-16 passing.

I said Other, and by that I mean anyone that touched the field after that blocked punt in the 4th. It was like watching a bunch of kids running around the field like idiots. Honestly, it was embarassing.

He didn't exactly have a wide open field to the endzone

He had a few guys right there that had good angles on him, he wasn't going anywhere. Plus I think he just wanted to hang on to the ball.
